This internship is an excellent opportunity for recent engineering graduates to gain structured, on-the-job training within one of the country’s largest energy operations.
About the Role
As an Engineer in Training, you will be placed within Eskom’s Human Resource department at Matla Power Station and exposed to real, hands-on engineering work under experienced professionals. This programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic study and practical industry experience, giving graduates the foundation they need to build a long-term career in engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in structured on-the-job training across relevant engineering disciplines
- Apply theoretical knowledge in a live power station environment
- Work closely with senior engineers and technical teams to build practical competence
Minimum Requirements
- A fully completed engineering degree (B Eng or BSc Eng) in one of the following disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
- Computer Engineering
- Civil Engineering
