MiWay is looking for students and recent IT graduates to join its Desktop Support team at the Kosmosdal office. This is a fast-paced call-centre environment where technology helps people serve customers every day. You will gain practical experience in end-user IT support, working alongside experienced team members under the guidance of the Desktop Support Manager. No prior corporate IT experience is required.

What You Will Do

• Assist users with Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive
• Help set up desktops, laptops and mobile devices
• Support hardware checks, replacements, printer setup and basic network and Wi-Fi checks
• Assist with password resets, account unlocks and MFA setup, following approved identity checks
• Support joiner, mover and leaver processes in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
• Log, update and close tickets in Jira Service Management
• Help issue and record IT equipment, track serial numbers and support stock checks and asset audits
• Gain exposure to Genesys Cloud and the legacy CIC telephony systems
• Help create work instructions and IT guides, and assist with weekly operational reporting

All work is done under supervision. Interns are not responsible for high-risk administration, major system changes or security decisions.

Minimum Requirements

• A National Diploma or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification, or a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Systems, Networking or End User Computing
• Basic computer knowledge and confidence using Windows and Microsoft Office
• Logical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Good spoken and written communication
• Attention to detail and a customer-service mindset
• A genuine interest in building a career in IT

Advantageous (not required): CompTIA A+ or N+, Microsoft fundamentals certifications, or ITIL 4 Foundation.

Any exposure to IT counts, including student projects, lab work, personal projects or voluntary technical support.
