Yanfeng is inviting suitably qualified, unemployed South African graduates to apply for its 2026/2027 Internship Programme at the East London Plant in the IDZ. Four positions are open, one in each department below. The programme runs for a non-renewable contract period of twelve (12) months.

Available Positions

Quality (Metrology), Position Code: QUA-01 (1 intern)
National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

HSE (Health, Safety and Environment), Position Code: HSE-01 (1 intern)
National Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related field.

Millwright (Maintenance), Position Code: MAIN-01 (1 intern)
National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Millwright, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Launch, Project Engineering, Position Code: LAUNCH-01 (1 intern)
National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum Requirements

• A completed National Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or Honour’s degree in one of the disciplines listed above
• South African citizen and currently unemployed
• Not studying full-time
• Has not participated in any other internship that was not a syllabus requirement or in-service programme
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Resilience and adaptability
• Ability to take initiative
