Overview:
Mediclinic Winelands Orthopaedic Hospital is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in the field of Human Resources. This internship is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to HR operations within a healthcare setting, helping the successful candidate build practical skills and knowledge essential for a future HR career.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Human Resource Intern, you will work closely with the HR team, contributing to daily operations and gaining valuable insights into HR practices. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Recruitment Support: Assisting with the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
2. Onboarding and Orientation: Helping new employees integrate into the organization by coordinating orientation sessions and preparing onboarding materials.
3. Employee Relations: Participating in employee engagement activities and providing administrative support for HR-related projects.
4. Performance Management: Supporting performance appraisal processes and maintaining accurate employee performance records.
5. HR Administration: Managing employee files, updating databases, and ensuring HR documentation is complete and confidential.
6. Training and Development: Assisting in the coordination of training programs and tracking employee participation.
7. Compliance and Policy: Helping to ensure adherence to hospital policies and labor laws by assisting with HR audits and policy updates.

Requirements:
To qualify for this internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
