Position Overview: Afrimat Iron Ore (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering graduate to join our team as an intern. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the mining industry, working closely with seasoned professionals in a supportive and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of site maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
• Participate in risk analysis and contribute to the compilation of Codes of Practice (COP).
• Engage in process improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
• Identify and propose cost-saving initiatives.
• Uphold and promote safe working practices in all tasks.

Requirements:

• National Diploma or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid South African ID.
• Must be a resident of the Northern Cape.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Honesty and reliability in all professional dealings.
