Programme Overview

Duration: 18 Months
Location: Braamfontein, Johannesburg, Gauteng
Monthly Stipend: R10,109.86 (Graduates) | R3,500.00 (Students)
Programme Period: 2025-2027

This prestigious programme combines structured learning with hands-on municipal operations exposure, designed to develop the next generation of public sector professionals. Successful candidates will sign both an Internship Agreement and Employment Contract, ensuring full commitment to educational and workplace excellence.

1. Integrated Planning, Policy and Research

Department: Community Development
Closing Date: 12 November 2025

Engage in meaningful research, data analysis, and policy development while supporting strategic planning initiatives and performance monitoring systems.

Qualifications Required: Diploma or Degree in Public Management, Development Studies, Political Studies, or related fields.

2. Transport Systems Management

Department: Transport
Closing Date: 18 November 2025

Shape the future of Johannesburg’s transport infrastructure through planning, development strategies, and stakeholder consultations.

Qualifications Required: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Town and Regional Planning, or Transport Management.

3. Quality Control

Department: Transport

Ensure operational excellence in public transport by monitoring Rea Vaya bus operations and maintaining quality assurance standards.

Qualifications Required: Diploma or Degree in Transportation Management, Logistics Management, or Quality Compliance-related qualifications.
