Denel Aerospace is hiring Electronic Technicians (Technician, Senior Technician, and Chief Technician) to work on Radar, Optical, Telemetry, and C³ systems at Overberg Test Range Campus. Applicants should have a National Diploma in Electronic Engineering and relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, maintain, operate, and upgrade electronic systems/sub-systems in compliance with Test Range specifications.
  • Support development and enhancements of Radar, Optical, Telemetry, C³, and related systems (e.g., microwave, audio, power, fire control, time-base).
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure system safety, housekeeping, and quality standards.
  • Ensure optimal availability and functionality of electronic systems at OTR Campus.
  • Collaborate with teams and work independently as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum: National Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Light Current) or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in electronic maintenance/design at component level.
  • Proficiency in analog/digital electronics; knowledge of time-base (Irig-B) signal distribution is advantageous.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, file management).

Personal Attributes:

  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical, innovative, and detail-focused.
  • Physically fit (no history of back/knee issues; good eyesight; comfortable with heights).
  • Valid Code B driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel to remote OTR sites.
