Programme Overview

The Komatsu Engineer in Training (EIT) programme is a structured 24-month development opportunity tailored to engineering graduates who are eager to gain practical work experience. Responsibilities

Electrical Engineering Candidates Will:

  • Assist Electrical Engineers in designing, maintaining, and repairing electronic and electrical components and equipment.
  • Contribute to testing, troubleshooting, and improvement of control systems and automation-related infrastructure.
  • Participate in technical evaluations and hands-on work aligned with current projects.
  • Support the implementation of electrical compliance standards and quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges in operational environments.

Mechanical Engineering Candidates Will:

  • Assist Mechanical Engineers with the design, development, testing, and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives for existing mechanical designs.
  • Contribute to project execution, including technical drawings, prototype testing, and reporting.
  • Engage with production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth integration of new equipment.
  • Support mechanical engineering functions across departments and assist with special projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BSc or BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (depending on the role applied for).
  • Degree must be completed and awarded by the time of appointment.
