The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Engineer in Training – Transformers to join our team in Modderfontein, Gauteng. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for electrical engineering and a keen interest in transformer technology and solutions. As a Student Support Engineer (SSE), you will receive comprehensive training and gain hands-on experience in transformer tendering and sales, while contributing to real-world projects that drive sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured training programs covering transformer fundamentals, components, accessories, and services via online learning platforms.
  • Receive dedicated training on the transformer tendering process and learn how to manage and execute Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from start to finish.
  • Work closely with experienced engineers to understand customer requirements, prepare tender documents, and ensure timely submissions.
  • Develop a professional and courteous customer support approach to foster productive and positive client relationships.
  • Collaborate with team members, share insights, and contribute to the ongoing success of the tendering and sales team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
