THE OPPORTUNITY

As part of Northern Coal’s community outreach and development programme, we are offering internship opportunities to unemployed graduates in the following engineering disciplines:

• Mining Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering

This internship is designed to address challenges within local communities and provide practical work experience to qualified graduates who are ready to launch their careers in the mining industry.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a Degree or National Diploma in one of the above-mentioned engineering fields
• Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18-35
• Provide proof of residence (Water & Lights account or signed affidavit)
• Submit a comprehensive CV
• Provide certified copies of ID and academic records
• Include a copy of qualification or letter of completion
• Recently graduated or completing qualification with no prior full-time work experience in the field

Important: All applicants will be screened and subjected to an assessment process.

MHSA REQUIREMENT

The successful candidate must possess a valid certificate of fitness or be able to obtain one as per the requirements of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
