About the Program
Our Engineering Learnership Program has been carefully designed as part of the Sylvania Engineering Development Programme to nurture the next generation of skilled engineering professionals. We believe in investing in talent and providing comprehensive training that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application in real-world industrial settings.
Available Trades
We are currently seeking candidates for the following specialized trades:
- Boilermaker – Master the art of fabricating, assembling, and repairing pressure vessels and large metal structures
- Electrician – Develop expertise in electrical systems, installations, and maintenance
- Fitter – Learn precision mechanical fitting, assembly, and machinery maintenance
- Instrument Mechanician/Technician – Specialize in the installation and maintenance of industrial control instruments (preference will be given to applicants in this category)

Who Should Apply
We’re looking for dedicated individuals who meet the following criteria:
Essential Requirements:
- Age between 18 and 35 years
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with passes in all subjects, achieving 60% or above in English and Mathematics
- N2 Qualification in Engineering studies
- Strong commitment to learning and professional development
- Passion for engineering and hands-on technical work
