What the Programme Involves

As a Rhovan Engineering Learner, you will:

• Enter into a formal learnership agreement with the MQA
• Complete theoretical and practical trade modules at a dedicated training centre
• Complete all phases of the learnership within the required timeframe
• Undertake on-the-job training modules at the Rhovan operation
• Participate in workplace readiness and technical panel evaluations
• Attend Basic and Advanced Engineering Skills Courses
• Assist qualified Artisans with hands-on tasks during practical exposure phases

Upon successful completion of all programme requirements, you will be awarded a trade certificate and qualify as a fully recognised Artisan — a credential that opens doors across South Africa’s mining, manufacturing, and engineering sectors.

✅ Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this learnership, you must meet the following criteria:

• Full N2 certificate with the relevant Trade Theory subject for your chosen discipline
• Medically fit and able to work in an operational mining environment
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
• Willing and available to undergo Psychometric Assessments as part of the selection process
