This internship is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain practical exposure in a fast-paced workshop environment, working closely with experienced professionals on mechanical and electrical systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-house and on-site quality calibrations aligned with national and international standards.
  • Ensure traceability of laboratory equipment and calibration results.
  • Actively participate in problem-solving and address quality issues effectively.
  • Handle customer equipment within agreed turnaround time (TAT) Key Performance Indicators.
  • Utilize the “Spirit” system for equipment management and updates.
  • Provide support to the calibration and workshop teams with daily operational tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and clean laboratory/workshop environment.
  • Comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements as per internal policies.
  • Collaborate with sales, projects, and logistics teams on related activities.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and promote a safety-first attitude.
  • Perform timely equipment calibrations as per the reference schedule.
  • Be able to physically manage tools and equipment, including heavy items (within acceptable limits).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate
  • A completed tertiary qualification in any of the following disciplines:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electronic Engineering
    • Mechatronic Engineering
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated interest in technical systems, workshop tools, and machinery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on technical role.
  • A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and dedication to teamwork and safety.
