Eskom invites applications for the Engineers in Training Programme within its Distribution Division at the GEMMA Cluster. The programme is designed to equip engineering graduates with practical and theoretical training in preparation for a professional engineering career within the energy industry. Successful candidates will be placed at various sites across Rustenburg, Klerksdorp, and Mmabatho.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Be a South African Citizen
- Hold a BEng or BSc degree in Electrical Engineering

Key Responsibilities
This is a developmental position. As part of the Engineers in Training Programme, participants will be exposed to structured training plans aligned to the requirements for professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Responsibilities will be defined according to departmental needs and training modules, including:
- Participation in hands-on projects in the field of electrical distribution
- Learning through mentorship by experienced professionals
- Gaining exposure to the maintenance, operation, and improvement of power distribution infrastructure
- Involvement in workplace safety procedures and technical audits
- Completing evaluations and assessments throughout the programme
