About the Programme

The ISDG Graduate Programme forms part of City Power’s “Road to Professionalisation” initiative, a commitment to developing the next generation of skilled engineers who will shape the future of South Africa’s infrastructure. Participants will benefit from structured workplace exposure, dedicated mentorship from experienced professionals, and a learning environment that directly aligns with the requirements of professional engineering bodies.

This programme is offered in partnership with the National Treasury, reflecting a shared national vision of empowering unemployed graduates and addressing critical skills shortages in the engineering and infrastructure sectors.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for driven, passionate individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a BSc or BEng degree in Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 7)
  • Are currently unemployed
  • Are under the age of 35
  • Are a South African citizen in possession of a valid South African ID
  • Have an academic background that aligns with professional registration requirements
  • Hold a valid Code 08 driver’s licence (advantageous)
  • Are committed to growing within a structured professional environment

Appointments will be made in alignment with the Employment Equity Act, and suitably qualified candidates from designated groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
