PPC Aggregates is proud to offer an exciting Mechanical Engineering Internship Program aimed at equipping young, talented graduates with hands-on experience in the field. Job Purpose
The internship is designed to offer practical training for P1 and P2 students in Mechanical Engineering, ensuring they gain experience in maintenance, engineering, plant operations, and production process management. This opportunity will allow interns to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application within an industrial setting.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must have completed a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be previously disadvantaged individuals.
- Must be a South African Citizen with a valid South African Identity Document.
- Must reside in one of the following areas:
- Diepsloot
- Laudium
- Atteridgeville
- Lotus Gardens
- Saulsville
- Must provide the following documents:
- Certified copy of South African Identity Document.
- Updated CV with detailed information on education and work experience (if applicable).
- Certified copy of Grade 12 Certificate.
- Certified copies of University Statement of Results or Final Qualification.
- Proof of residence confirming the applicant lives in one of the specified areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will be exposed to various engineering functions within PPC, including but not limited to:
- Practical training aligned with P1 and P2 requirements.
- Maintenance activities within an industrial plant.
- Understanding engineering processes related to plant operations.
- Production process management and problem-solving.
- Technical reporting and documentation.
- Exposure to safety protocols and compliance with engineering regulations.
- Working with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience and mentorship.
