🔧 MILLWRIGHT (ARTISAN) – PUMP MAINTENANCE
Department: Civil Engineering – Water & Sewer
Reference: 2025-2026 / 009
Positions Available: 2
Annual Salary: R541,398 (Post Level 6) + standard municipal benefits

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or N3
• Trade Test: Millwright
• 3–5 years post-apprenticeship experience in industrial/municipal maintenance (preferably water/wastewater)
• Computer literacy for maintenance work orders
• Valid Code EB (08) driver’s license
• Strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and overhaul pumps, motors, compressors, valves, gearboxes, and related systems
• Collaborate with Electricians, Operators, and Technicians on breakdowns and installations
• Conduct fault finding on switchgears and ensure standby equipment readiness
• Interpret mechanical drawings and ensure correct overload settings
• Maintain accurate records and comply with safety regulations
