We are currently looking for a passionate and driven graduate to join our Technical Sales department as an Applications Engineer.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our sales team with technical expertise across our product range. Based at our Head Office in Centurion, the role also includes regular travel to client sites to assist with technical consultations, installations, and system evaluations. Travel is typically 3 to 4 days at a time, and company transport will be provided.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate in Mechanical, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering who is eager to grow their career in a fast-paced, innovative, and supportive environment. You will be responsible for interpreting client requirements and providing comprehensive pump system solutions that align with both technical demands and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in selecting and specifying pumps that best meet the needs of the customer
Compile detailed technical reports and proposals based on client needs
Guide customers to appropriate product solutions based on technical analysis
Provide first-line technical support and consulting for various pump applications
Assist with on-site installation and commissioning of equipment
Conduct system analysis and fault finding at client sites
Present solutions to clients in collaboration with the Sales team
Ensure all work meets internal quality assurance standards

Requirements:
A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering (B.Eng or BSc.Eng)
0–2 years of relevant work experience (pump-related experience is an advantage)
Strong mechanical and/or process engineering skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Competence in using Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of taking ownership of responsibilities
