The Office of the Premier, Free State Province, is proud to announce an exceptional opportunity for 25 unemployed engineering graduates to launch their careers through our comprehensive Graduate Internship Programme and Work Integrated Learning initiative.
About the Programme
This 24-month internship programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic excellence and professional practice. Successful candidates will be strategically placed across five District Municipalities throughout the Free State Province, where they will receive intensive on-the-job development training in technical, professional, public service, and essential life skills.
Our programme goes beyond traditional internships by offering a structured pathway into permanent employment within the formal job market. Through this initiative, we aim to equip unemployed graduates with the practical experience and crucial skills needed to become valuable assets in their respective fields, ultimately enhancing service delivery in District Municipalities across our province.
Who Should Apply
We are seeking passionate, dedicated engineering graduates aged 16 and above who hold a National Diploma, Degree, or B-Tech qualification in the following disciplines:
- Civil Engineering
- Civil Engineering – Project Management
- Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering
- Environmental Water Management/Environmental Engineering
- Quantity Survey
- Urban and Rural Planning/Town and Regional Planning
- Engineering Studies
