This 12-month entry-level program will immerse you in real-world engineering challenges, working directly with Rockwell Automation’s cutting-edge products and technologies while building essential skills for a successful engineering career.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager at our Randburg office, you’ll be part of a supportive team environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
What You’ll Do
As a Graduate Systems Design Engineer, you’ll tackle meaningful projects that directly impact our customers’ success:
- Design and implement complex system requirements tailored to customer needs, ensuring optimal performance and integration
- Analyze existing systems through comprehensive studies to identify improvement opportunities and recommend strategic enhancements
- Determine critical specifications including system parameters, input/output processes, and hardware/software compatibility requirements
- Coordinate subsystem integration, ensuring seamless operation of total system solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve program support deficiencies, providing technical recommendations and implementing corrective actions
- Collaborate with customers on-site, delivering technical expertise and building strong client relationships
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Automation or Industrial Computing
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as required
- Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience diagnosing and resolving technical challenges in engineering environments
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively to multidisciplinary teams
- Strong technical documentation skills with the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly
