This opportunity is designed to bridge academic knowledge with hands-on experience, focusing on industrial automation systems such as PLCs (Schneider) and SCADA (Adroit). Under the guidance of expert mentors, you will gain technical expertise, refine your engineering skills, and contribute to real-world projects that drive operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Develop core competencies in PLC programming (Ladder, Function Block, Statement List) and system integration.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of automated control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and enhance plant operations.
- Engage in technical training, safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work shifts as required, adhering to MMC’s policies and contributing to company objectives.
Who We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or B-Tech in Electrical Engineering (Light Current), Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering.
Essential Competencies:
- Proficiency in automation technologies and PLC programming languages.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety, innovation, and delivering high-quality results.
Additional Requirements:
- Own reliable transport and accommodation in Mbombela for the programme duration.
- Availability for the full 24-month period, including shift work.
