Location: Eastgate Kramerville, Sandton | Duration: 24 Months | Type: Graduate Programme
Are you a passionate engineering or computer science graduate ready to build a career with real purpose? Pele Green Energy, a leading player in South Africa’s renewable energy sector, is seeking ambitious graduates to join our Graduate in Training (GIT) Programme — a structured, immersive 24-month development journey that will challenge, grow, and prepare you for a future leadership role.
About the Programme
This is not your average graduate programme. From day one, you will be working on real projects, solving real problems, and contributing to Pele’s strategic goals alongside seasoned professionals. You will rotate through key business functions — including Project Development, Engineering, Energy Operations, Investment and Funding, and Business Development — gaining a comprehensive understanding of how a high-impact energy company operates. Through mentorship from senior leaders, hands-on project exposure, and cross-functional collaboration, you will develop both the technical and leadership skills that matter most in the energy sector.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will participate in strategic learning and development initiatives aligned with the company’s long-term vision, assist in executing business strategies, apply data analytics to track performance, and contribute innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency. You will take ownership of assigned projects, lead smaller initiatives, and engage with colleagues across departments to drive meaningful outcomes. Throughout the programme, you will receive coaching and guidance to help chart a clear path toward a permanent role within the organisation.
Who We’re Looking For
To be considered, you must be a final-year student or recent graduate with a BSc, BEng, or related Honours degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial) or Computer Science. Beyond qualifications, we are looking for individuals who are analytical, detail-oriented, and excellent communicators. You should be a motivated self-starter who is adaptable, accountable, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment. Relevant internship or project experience is advantageous.
Why Pele Green Energy?
At Pele, we believe that building South Africa’s energy future starts with building great people. Our GIT Programme is your launchpad into a purpose-driven career where innovation, community impact, and professional excellence are at the heart of everything we do. Graduates who successfully complete the programme transition into full-time, permanent roles tailored to their strengths and career aspirations.
