About the Programme:
This 24-month structured internship provides recent Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy graduates with an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Platinum Group Metals (PGM) industry. Interns will rotate across various operations including Concentrator, Smelting, Precious Metals Refinery (PMR), and Base Metals Refinery (BMR), gaining exposure to technical, engineering, and managerial aspects of a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a comprehensive two-year training programme designed to enhance technical knowledge and industry experience.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to operational areas.
  • Contribute to the achievement of business and production targets through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Attend mandatory training and development sessions as scheduled.
  • Compile and submit reports in accordance with training and development requirements.
  • Engage in innovative projects that drive technical and business improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A completed NQF Level 7 qualification in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy.
  • Sound understanding of Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering principles.
  • Medically fit for work in relevant operational areas.
  • South African citizenship and a passion for working in the mining sector.
