Sibanye-Stillwater is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a highly motivated and committed Mechanical Engineering graduate. The intern will join the 18.2 Graduate Programme within the Gold West Wits operating segment, gaining invaluable industry experience in a supportive and challenging environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • A relevant Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised South African university or institution
  • A subject verification letter for GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) examination
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area
  • Clear security screening record
  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
  • South African citizenship

Advantageous:

  • Previous working experience in the mining or engineering field will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all phases of the developmental programme within the set timeframes
  • Perform tasks in adherence to all company safety, health, and operational policies and standards
  • Assist team members with the implementation of engineering and development initiatives
  • Accurately capture and report relevant information as required
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships within the business and with community stakeholders
  • Participate in regular performance reviews and compile progress reports for supervisors and stakeholders
  • Escalate concerns and suggestions for programme improvement through appropriate channels

Selection Process
