What You’ll Do
As an Instrumentation Technician Intern, you’ll be at the heart of our technical operations, ensuring our sophisticated instrumentation systems operate at peak performance. Your responsibilities will include:
Technical Excellence:
- Install, inspect, calibrate, service, and maintain instruments up to component level
- Perform comprehensive testing of modules and conduct thorough loop checks
- Install and maintain critical instrument field devices
- Execute basic PLC programming using Siemens systems
Engineering Support:
- Interpret complex engineering design drawings with precision
- Identify elementary errors and assess manufacturability
- Compile detailed Bills of Materials for procurement of maintenance and installation materials
- Collaborate with electronic and electrical departments when required
Safety & Quality Assurance:
- Maintain rigorous safe work procedures including monthly SHE inspections
- Inspect, service, repair, and overhaul field devices to ensure optimal machine performance
- Demonstrate excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities
- Ensure all equipment remains in excellent running condition
What We’re Looking For
Educational Requirements:
- National Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation
Technical Expertise:
- Comprehensive understanding of step-by-step machinery and process operations
- Strong knowledge of field devices including sensors, level sensing equipment, pressure and temperature instruments
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Basic PLC programming skills, particularly with Siemens systems
- Exceptional fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities

- Availability for standby duties and overtime as business needs require
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication abilities at all organizational levels
