Role Overview
As an AI Intern at Independent Media, you will gain valuable hands-on experience working across multiple departments to support the implementation, monitoring, and integration of AI tools and strategies. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation within the media sector, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring AI innovation into real-world business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the adoption and integration of AI tools across various business units, supporting pilot projects and documenting results
• Collaborate in developing the company’s long-term AI roadmap by researching emerging AI technologies and trends
• Support governance efforts by helping monitor the ethical use of AI and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations
• Participate in AI awareness campaigns by assisting in the creation of digital educational content such as guides, tutorials, and FAQs
• Support internal training initiatives including workshops, Q&A forums, and training sessions
• Assist in managing a digital database of AI tools and vendors, including participation in vendor demos and feedback collection
• Work alongside UX/UI and content teams to develop interactive digital learning modules and optimize AI-related training materials
• Contribute to the development and support of AI-integrated internal platforms and applications

Minimum Requirements

• Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Digital Media, or a related field
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning principles
• Strong interest in digital transformation and AI in business
• Proficient in MS Office; exposure to digital design or AI-related tools is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred (not required)

• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or another programming language
• Exposure to AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Google Cloud AI tools
• Familiarity with UI/UX design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
• Experience in content management systems or e-learning platforms
