Job Purpose

Nedbank is seeking motivated and driven individuals to join our Information Technology division within the IT Application Development career stream. This role is designed for graduates or entry-level candidates who are eager to learn, grow, and develop technical and professional competencies while gaining practical experience in a dynamic business environment. The successful candidate will proactively contribute to the effective and efficient functioning of the division by supporting projects, initiatives, and day-to-day operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the IT Application Development team, you will be responsible for delivering assigned tasks within agreed timelines while maintaining high standards of quality, professionalism, and productivity. You will be expected to be cost-aware by identifying and reducing non–value-adding work and waste, and to consistently meet delivery targets, due dates, and agreed service standards.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, senior team members, and mentors to ensure a clear understanding of stakeholder needs and to support smooth workflow through constructive internal relationships. The role requires you to manage expectations effectively, provide regular feedback and progress updates to your team leader or supervisor, and ensure that all work complies with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.

You will contribute to the enhancement of business processes and methodologies by researching, recommending, and supporting the implementation of improvement initiatives that add value to Nedbank. In addition, you will actively participate in culture-building initiatives, transformation goals, corporate social responsibility activities, and business strategies such as social responsibility and green initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Essential Qualification: Advanced Diploma or National First Degree (NQF Level)
• Preferred Qualification: Relevant Degree, Diploma, or equivalent
• Minimum Experience: 0–3 months (graduates and entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
