The Opportunity

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and technically skilled IT Trainee/Intern to join our Cape Town team. Your Role

As an IT Trainee/Intern, you’ll be an integral part of our technology team, providing crucial support that keeps our operations running smoothly:

• First-Line Support Excellence: Deliver technical and functional support to users, resolving IT incidents efficiently while monitoring our helpdesk system and prioritizing critical issues
• Cybersecurity Guardian: Monitor security indicators and swiftly address cyber security non-conformances to protect our digital infrastructure
• System Deployment: Prepare and configure new PCs and laptops according to Forvia’s standard installation policies and security protocols
• IT Administration: Support the IT Manager with backup/restore procedures, MS Office applications, ERP systems, hardware maintenance, network operations, and IT asset management
• User Empowerment: Coordinate training sessions and ensure users understand procedures and system ownership
• Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to Group IT standards covering hardware, software, security policies, license control, and inventory management
• Documentation & Innovation: Maintain accurate IT documentation and assist with global IT project implementations and backup testing procedures

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification specializing in Information Technology
• Industry certifications (A+, N+, MCSE, MCP, MOUS, Cisco, or equivalent)
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
• Excellent English communication skills (additional languages are a plus)
