Restonic, Africa’s leading specialist in the manufacturing of premium knitted and woven mattress fabric, based in Elsies River industrial, is looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join its IT team as an intern. As an IT Intern at Restonic, you will be exposed to a dynamic IT environment that supports a multiuser and multi-branch setup. The internship offers hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems support, user management, and troubleshooting. The internship will provide exposure to various areas of IT including desktop and laptop support, hardware and software installation and maintenance, troubleshooting, and systems administration. Working closely with experienced IT professionals, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to travel between different sites and understand the workings of a shared services model within a business environment.

We are looking for candidates who have completed Matric and possess a diploma or certificate in Information Technology. It is essential that applicants have knowledge of A+ and N+ fundamentals and are proficient in all Microsoft Office packages. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle will be advantageous, as the role may require travel between branches. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a willingness to learn, a proactive mindset, and good communication skills.

Key duties and responsibilities will include first and second-line support to all desktop and laptop users, installation and maintenance of hardware and software, troubleshooting system issues, and assisting with ongoing IT-related projects. The intern will work alongside the IT department to ensure smooth operation of systems and efficient user support across the organisation.
