As a Customer Service Engineer Trainee, you will play a crucial role in supporting our service operations and helping to ensure customer satisfaction through technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Under supervision, the trainee will be expected to:
- Perform a variety of technical tasks including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and evaluation of customer equipment and systems.
- Provide remote and onsite support to customers and escalate issues to 2nd and 3rd level support as needed.
- Participate in the improvement of internal tools, equipment, processes, and documentation.
- Assist in project-related tasks such as estimation, planning, and review of technical activities.
- Support the development of service offerings and assist with subcontractor management and monitoring.
- Ensure all service processes are followed to achieve operational efficiency.
- Participate in technical and product training, including self-study and on-the-job learning.
- Carry out any reasonable duties expected from a Customer Service Engineer.
- Support will primarily be focused on the Cape Town/Port Elizabeth region but may extend to other regions as required.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- National Diploma in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Clinical Engineering.
- Valid South African driver’s license is mandatory.
- Having a personal vehicle is an advantage.
- Willingness to work overtime during the week, on weekends, and on public holidays.
- Strong communication skills and an analytical mindset.
- Demonstrated high performance and commitment to continuous learning.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Preference will be given to candidates from designated diversity groups as part of the Y.E.S. Program requirements.
