Gijima is proud to announce the 2025 intake for the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Internship Programme. This initiative offers 50 enthusiastic and determined IT students an opportunity to complete their practical workplace training as part of their 3-year tertiary qualification. This structured internship is aimed at individuals who are passionate about building a career in IT support and infrastructure services.

Programme Focus
The WIL Internship Programme is specifically tailored for students pursuing qualifications in Information Technology relevant to support disciplines. These may include:

  • Communication Networks
  • Support Services
  • Computer Systems

Please note: This programme does not include or cover specialisations such as Software/Application Development, Business Applications, Multimedia, Electronics, Robotics, Database Administration, or Project Management.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for the programme:

  • Currently enrolled in a 3-year IT-related qualification that requires WIL for completion.
  • In possession of an official recommendation letter from their tertiary institution confirming the need for WIL (pre-WIL letters will not be accepted).
  • Must have latest academic results that are institution-stamped and recently certified.
  • South African citizen residing in Gauteng only – relocation is not available.
  • Age must be between 18 and 35 as of 1 August 2025.
  • Must have successfully completed Matric with English and Mathematics.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Must be currently unemployed and not enrolled in any other internship or learnership programme.
  • Clean criminal record is required.

    • Certified copy of ID
    • Official recommendation letter from the institution
    • Certified and stamped latest academic results
    • Certified Matric certificate
