Eskom invites dynamic and passionate individuals to apply for the Learner Intern Diploma Engineering (Mechanical) positions at Kusile Power Station. This exciting opportunity offers hands-on experience and structured training within the Bulk Material Handling department. Successful candidates will sign a one-year internship contract and receive a stipend in accordance with Eskom’s policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)
• Completed S4/National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• No prior work experience required

Skills and Competencies:

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following:

• Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership potential and teamwork skills
• Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve conflicts and find practical solutions
• Driver’s License: Valid Code B driver’s license

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Reliable, honest, and adaptable to changing environments
• Self-motivated and forward-thinking

Key Responsibilities:

As a Learner Intern, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Continuous Improvement: Participate actively in learning opportunities and identify areas for personal and operational growth.
2. Training Program Execution: Perform duties aligned with the internship training program, ensuring thorough understanding and practical application.
3. Safety Compliance: Adhere to Section 14 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (85 of 1993) and fulfill your responsibilities as an employee.
