About the Internship
The University of South Africa (UNISA) invites motivated and qualified graduates to apply for its 12-month Internship Programme commencing on 1 May 2025. This initiative aims to equip unemployed South African citizens with practical experience in their fields of study while fostering professional growth. Successful candidates will receive a stipend of R120,925 per annum and gain exposure to a dynamic academic environment. Positions are based at the Sunnyside Campus in Gauteng.


Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen and UNISA graduate with a qualification equivalent to NQF level 6, 7, or higher.
  • No formal work experience in the field of application (preferred).
  • Not older than 35 years by the closing date.
  • Not previously appointed as an intern at UNISA or any other organization.
  • Willing to relocate at their own expense if required.
