Introduction:
Clicks Group Services is currently recruiting for IT Service Centre Interns to join our dynamic IT department on a fixed-term basis. This opportunity is ideal for recent IT or Information Systems graduates who are passionate about technology and eager to begin their careers in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The role is based at our Head Office in Cape Town and reports directly to the Service Centre Supervisors/Service Manager (IT).

Purpose of the Role:
The primary objective of this role is to provide efficient and cost-effective management of IT incidents and service requests, from initiation to resolution. The intern will deliver first-line IT support to business users and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional engagement and technical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide telephonic and email-based IT support to end-users.
  • Log, assign, escalate, and track all IT incidents and service requests accurately.
  • Take full ownership of incidents and service requests until resolution.
  • Ensure prompt restoration of IT services within agreed service levels.
  • Collaborate with users and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain professionalism and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Participate in standby duties, including weekends, public holidays, and Sundays when required.

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Diploma in Information Systems (IS) or Information Technology (IT)

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of IT systems, customer service, and incident management processes
  • Familiarity with company policies, governance frameworks, and service desk operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in technical troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
