Position Summary:
Mintek is seeking a motivated and dedicated Technician-in-Training to join our team. The role involves the assembly, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced process measurement instruments at various plants worldwide. This is a hands-on role where you will gain valuable experience in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and adhering to safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established procedures to install, commission, and maintain Mintek equipment.
  • Identify and resolve electrical problems by analyzing circuit diagrams.
  • Uphold safety standards and procedures in all workspaces and operations.
  • Recommend improved work practices and procedures for better efficiency and safety.
  • Assist supervisors with safety inspections and ensure compliance with client SHEQ procedures.
  • Assemble, test, and calibrate advanced process measurement instruments.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues independently with minimal assistance.
  • Assist the development team as needed.
  • Complete trip documentation and adhere to operating procedures related to project administration.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and share expertise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma (Engineering or related field).
  • Completed apprenticeship/work-integrated learning.
  • Driver’s License (Code EB) within 6 months of appointment.
  • Experience in PB Board testing, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Assembly and onsite commissioning experience with online analysis equipment. Experience with Mintek Cynoprobe and C2 Meter is highly advantageous.
  • Onsite servicing of online analysis equipment (Mintek Cynoprobe, C2 Meter preferred).
