About the Role
As an Engineer-In-Training at Lesedi, you will be part of our Design Group, contributing to the successful execution of mechanical engineering projects. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, applying engineering principles, codes, and standards to support project delivery. This role is designed to develop your technical competence, project management skills, and professional growth, preparing you for a successful engineering career.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply mechanical engineering principles to produce accurate technical work, including drawings, calculations, and design reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to project milestones and deliverables, completing assigned tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including senior engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Actively participate in training programs, mentorship, and continuous learning opportunities.
- Document work performed accurately and professionally for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify areas for innovation, propose improvements, and take initiative in problem-solving.
- Uphold Lesedi’s commitment to quality, safety, and compliance in all engineering activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or B.Sc Eng) is required.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with engineering software tools.
- Practical industrial or engineering experience will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
