As a Project Coordinator Intern, you will work alongside experienced construction professionals, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced, real-world construction environment. This position is ideal for recent graduates or emerging professionals looking to launch their careers in construction management, project coordination, or civil engineering.
What You’ll Do
In this dynamic role, you will be an integral part of our project management team, providing essential support across multiple aspects of the construction process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting daily site coordination activities and administrative functions alongside the Project Manager
- Preparing comprehensive progress reports, meeting minutes, and critical project documentation
- Monitoring work schedules, tracking site progress, and ensuring contractor deliverables are met on time
- Acting as a liaison between subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to maintain seamless project alignment
- Assisting with procurement activities, maintaining accurate records, and managing quality documentation
- Contributing to health and safety file updates and compliance tracking to ensure regulatory standards are met
- Maintaining effective project communication channels to ensure timely and accurate information flow
- Participating actively in project meetings and supporting stakeholder coordination efforts

Essential Qualifications:
- National Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Project Management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (MS Project skills are advantageous)
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within diverse teams
- Adaptability to thrive in a site-based environment
- Meticulous attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn
- Availability to work on-site full-time in the Tugela District, KwaZulu-Natal
