The Role

As a Junior Full Stack Developer, you will be part of a dynamic technical team responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving software systems that power Protea Metering’s operations. You’ll work across the full technology stack — from database management and back-end logic to front-end interfaces — gaining hands-on exposure to modern development tools and practices from day one. No prior work experience is required, but you must bring solid theoretical knowledge and a genuine hunger to grow.

What You’ll Need

Qualifications:
A completed Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field is essential. You don’t need years of experience — but you do need a strong foundation.

Technical Requirements:

• Proven knowledge of Node.js, React, and SQL is non-negotiable
• Proficiency in JavaScript; Python knowledge is a strong advantage
• Exposure to relational databases such as MS SQL Server, including query writing
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, networking, systems integration, and deployment
• Good working knowledge of the Microsoft environment
• Understanding of software testing fundamentals and code quality assurance principles
