What You’ll Do

Electrical Engineering Track: Immerse yourself in the comprehensive world of switchgear technology. You’ll gain exposure to testing across primary, secondary, modular, and commissioning areas, while developing expertise in both electrical and mechanical design for switchgear systems.

Mechanical Engineering Track: Dive into the fundamentals of design and drafting while exploring the intricate electrical and mechanical workings of electric motors—critical components that power industries worldwide.

Throughout your journey, you’ll support ABB’s strategic objectives, collaborate with diverse teams and leaders, and tackle real challenges that contribute to our mission of creating sustainable solutions.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking passionate, driven individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Mechanical Engineering N5-N6 graduates (for Apprenticeship) or Electrical Engineering NDip students (for P1/P2)
• High-achieving students with a minimum 65% average throughout their studies
• Maximum of 2 years working experience
• South African citizenship
• Excellent communication skills
• Growth mindset
• Creative problem-solving abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership potential
