About the Role:
As a YES Intern in Facility Management, you will play a crucial support role in ensuring our physical assets and maintenance operations run seamlessly. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learning the ropes of maintaining a large-scale retail environment and developing essential skills for a successful FM career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Maintenance Operations: Assist the team in overseeing the maintenance department, contributing to smooth day-to-day functioning.
  • Optimize Performance: Help implement maintenance strategies aimed at maximizing equipment uptime and minimizing costly disruptions.
  • Vendor Coordination: Gain experience liaising with external suppliers and contractors for repair and maintenance services.
  • Proactive Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections alongside the team to identify maintenance needs and assist in prioritizing repairs.
  • Provider Support: Assist in managing maintenance service providers, including task scheduling and assignment coordination.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments (e.g., Operations, IT) to understand and help optimize production and facility-related processes.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Qualification: A relevant qualification (Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field) is highly beneficial.
  • Foundation: A basic understanding of electrical systems and general maintenance processes is advantageous.
  • Attitude: A strong willingness to learn, a proactive approach, and a genuine enthusiasm for developing a career in Facilities Management.
  • Practical Requirements: A valid Driver’s License is essential. You must be available for standby duties and after-hours call outs when required. Ability to travel within the region is necessary.
