Are you a newly qualified graduate with a passion for technology and software development? BBD, a leading international software solutions company, is inviting talented and driven graduates to join its prestigious Graduate Programme — and from Day 1, you are a full-time, paid BBDer.

About BBD

With over 1 000 IT professionals across its global operations, BBD has built a reputation for delivering powerful, innovative software solutions that solve real-world problems. Operating across multiple sectors — including financial services, telecommunications, public entities, and sports betting — BBD offers its people unparalleled exposure to diverse technologies and business domains. Innovation is not just a buzzword at BBD; it is embedded in the company’s DNA.

The Graduate Programme

BBD’s Graduate Programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry readiness. From the moment you join, you are placed directly on client teams, contributing meaningfully while building your technical expertise through structured Level Ups throughout the year.

You will work alongside experienced senior mentors and peers, gaining hands-on experience in breaking and fixing real software — all in a collaborative, supportive environment. BBD graduates consistently report that the learning they experience in their first eight weeks surpasses what they encountered throughout their university studies.

Beyond professional growth, being a BBDer means enjoying market-related salaries, performance-based bonuses, hybrid working models, and a vibrant team culture complete with epic social events and continuous knowledge sharing.

Who Should Apply

BBD is looking for passionate, newly qualified graduates who hold a Diploma, Bachelor’s, Honours, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in one of the following fields:

  • BSc, BEng, BCom, or BIT majoring in Computer Science, Computer and Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Informatics

Candidates who do not hold a formal degree but can demonstrate a strong portfolio of completed technology work are also encouraged to apply. If you have a genuine vision for how software can solve everyday problems and have actively pursued that vision, BBD wants to hear from you.

Requirements

To be considered for the programme, applicants must:

  • Be immersed in technology and coding beyond their formal education
  • Be a newly qualified graduate from a recognised university or hold a certification from a recognised learning programme
  • Maintain a high academic average
  • Demonstrate passion for building software and solving complex problems creatively

How to Apply

When submitting your application, please include your updated CV, a copy of your ID, your latest academic transcripts or Matric certificate, and a link to any personal code projects hosted on GitHub or a similar platform.

The application process involves an initial profile review, followed by a software engineering technical challenge, a marking process, a virtual interview, and — if successful — an offer of employment.
