Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician at KONE, you will be at the heart of our operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of elevators and escalators, delivering top-quality service, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Your role will directly contribute to people’s daily lives by keeping equipment safe, efficient, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality maintenance services for elevators and escalators.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through regular, proactive communication.
• Accurately report work performed in real-time using digital tools.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and end-users.
• Identify site risks and communicate them promptly.
• Perform unplanned service repairs as needed and obtain approvals when required.
• Manage site environment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Control PAR stock levels and process replenish orders on time.
• Submit accurate timesheets and documentation.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Red Seal Trade Test Certificate in Lift Mechanics, or
• Completed NQF Level 4 certification with a 4-year apprenticeship, or
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 12 months shadowing a competent lift mechanic, or
• Completed NQF Level 5 certification with 12 months of practical training.
• Good communication skills and basic IT knowledge are essential.
