Job Overview

Clover Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician with a Tetrapak background to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high reliability on an allocated filling line while also providing support to other lines when needed. Key responsibilities include fault-finding, root cause analysis, scheduled maintenance, and effective communication with maintenance and production teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance of Filling Line

• Perform fault-finding and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to determine underlying problems and implement preventative measures.
• Develop and revise maintenance schedules as needed.
• Plan and perform scheduled services and other planned work.
• Ensure critical spare parts are kept in stock and readily available.
• Maintain necessary parts inventory to minimize downtime.

Communication & Reporting

• Prepare daily reports on maintenance activities and issues.
• Provide detailed breakdown reports after call-outs.
• Share lessons learned and best practices with the maintenance team.
• Take the lead in servicing the allocated filling line while assisting others when required.
• Report on major stops and actions needed to prevent future occurrences.
• Complete job cards, schedules, and maintenance records accurately.

Ad-hoc Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner and report any unsafe conditions.
• Participate in the standby roster for emergency maintenance.
• Work overtime when required to support production needs.
• Conduct weekly technical training sessions for team members.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicable trade qualification relevant to maintenance and engineering.
• Proven experience in Tetrapak maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of job-related concepts, techniques, and processes.
• Advanced computer literacy for reporting and maintenance scheduling.
• Possession of a valid Code 08 driver’s license.
• Ability to work in confined spaces when required.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
