About Sea Harvest
As a pioneering force in the seafood industry, Sea Harvest operates at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and large-scale manufacturing. Our Saldanha facility represents cutting-edge food processing technology, where mechanical engineering excellence drives operational success. The Opportunity
This isn’t a typical graduate programme where you’ll spend months observing from the sidelines. At Sea Harvest, we believe in throwing our best talent into meaningful challenges immediately. You’ll rotate through various departments, work on live projects, and contribute to initiatives that directly impact our bottom line. Our programme is designed to identify and nurture future leaders who will shape the engineering landscape of our organization.
What We’re Looking For
We need graduates who combine technical excellence with the right attitude. You should hold a Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering (BEngTech) or higher qualification, preferably from a University of Technology. Importantly, you should be at the start of your professional journey – we’re specifically seeking candidates without prior graduate programme or internship experience.
Beyond qualifications, we’re searching for individuals who embody our values: courage to tackle difficult problems, resilience when facing setbacks, flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment, and an innovative mindset that challenges conventional thinking. You must be a collaborative team player who’s hungry to learn and grow.
Essential Competencies
Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities to solve complex engineering problems, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, natural leadership qualities, excellent execution skills, and a proactive, assertive approach to work. If you’re someone who sees problems as opportunities and takes initiative without being prompted, you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Gain
This structured programme offers comprehensive exposure to mechanical engineering across food manufacturing operations, mentorship from experienced engineering leaders, real projects with measurable outcomes, and a clear pathway to permanent employment and career advancement within Sea Harvest.
