Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) is offering ambitious South African graduates a rare opportunity to gain meaningful work experience within a government entity that plays a critical role in supporting municipalities across the country. The MISA Graduate Internship Programme 2026/2028 is now open for applications, with placements based at the MISA Head Office in Centurion, Pretoria.

This 24-month internship programme is designed to equip unemployed graduates with the practical skills, professional exposure, and institutional knowledge needed to build a successful career in the public sector. With a monthly stipend of R7,860.50, MISA is investing in the next generation of public service professionals across four distinct disciplines.

About MISA

Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent is a government entity operating under the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA). MISA’s mandate is to provide technical support to municipalities to accelerate the delivery of infrastructure and services to communities. Available Internship Positions

Information Communication Technology Intern
Reference No: MISA/ICT/01
Qualification required: National Diploma or Degree (NQF 6/7) in Information Technology or Computer Systems Engineering.

Finance Intern
Reference No: MISA/FINANCE/02
Qualification required: National Diploma or Degree (NQF 6/7) in BCom Accounting, Financial Management, Accounting, or Cost and Management Accounting.

Internal Control and Compliance Intern
Reference No: MISA/ICC/03
Qualification required: National Diploma or Degree (NQF 6/7) in Accounting, Auditing, Internal Audit, or Risk Management.

Legal Services Intern
Reference No: MISA/LEGAL/04
Qualification required: LLB or Law Degree.

All positions are based at the MISA Head Office in Centurion, Pretoria.

Who Should Apply

This programme is open to South African citizens who are unemployed graduates and have not previously participated in a government internship programme. It is important to note that internship opportunities in the public service are a once-off opportunity per qualification — candidates who have already completed a public sector internship will not be considered.
