MISA (Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent), a Schedule 3 government entity under the Department of Co-operative Governance (DCoG), is seeking passionate and qualified young graduates to join our transformative Young Graduate Programme for the 2025/26 financial year.
About the Programme
This exceptional three-year internship programme offers newly qualified Civil Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Town & Regional Planners a unique opportunity to launch their careers while making a meaningful impact on South Africa’s infrastructure development. The programme is specifically designed to facilitate professional registration as Technicians, Technologists, and Engineers, in full compliance with regulatory frameworks including the Engineering Professions Act and the Town Planning Profession Act.

The programme offers a minimum 36-month post-graduation workplace experience, with deployment opportunities across nine provinces where MISA operates. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals on critical infrastructure projects in district municipalities and private sector organizations, contributing to sustainable development and service delivery.
Available Positions
We are recruiting for the following disciplines:
Civil Engineering: BTech Degree / BSc / B.Eng in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or BTech Degree / BSc in Electrical Engineering
Town & Regional Planning: BTech Degree / BSc in Town & Regional Planning (eligibility subject to SACPLAN confirmation)
Positions are available across multiple provinces including KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, Western Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Gauteng, and Free State.
Who Should Apply
This programme is exclusively for graduates from previously disadvantaged communities who completed their studies during or after the 2024/25 financial year. We particularly encourage applications from females, people with disabilities, and MISA bursary beneficiaries, as only South African Citizens or permanent residents need apply.
