PPS Healthcare Administrators (PPSHA) invites ambitious and dedicated South African graduates to apply for its 12-month Internship Programme. A completed Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification is required, along with a completed three-year Bachelor’s degree, National Diploma, or Honours in one of the following fields: Commerce, Accounting, Information Technology, Clinical Medical Associate, or a BCur in Nursing. Proficiency in English is essential, and fluency in additional South African languages will be an advantage. Candidates must present a professional image, possess strong time management and administrative skills, and should not be currently employed or participating in another internship programme. Basic computer literacy and the ability to work under pressure are also required.

Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience in areas such as medical aid correspondence, claims assessment, and processing member subscriptions. Interns will have the opportunity to support the underwriting team and assist with new member applications. The programme also includes exposure to clinical administration duties and practical insight into day-to-day operations in the healthcare sector. Participants will play a role in both formative and summative assessments and act as ambassadors for PPSHA, upholding high standards of service and professionalism.

Throughout the internship, participants will be given the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical environment. They will be encouraged to develop key technical and soft skills that are essential in any professional workplace.
