The selected intern will work under the supervision of the Regional Operations Manager or Regional Logistics Manager. The intern will assist with operational tasks, contribute to production performance monitoring, and support process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
The Production Intern will assist with a variety of operational and administrative tasks within the facility. These responsibilities may include updating production sheets and assisting with monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational processes. The intern will also support production teams with projects aimed at improving efficiency and productivity.
The intern will execute tasks assigned by the Facility Manager, Operations Manager, or supervisors within the operations department. This role requires someone who can work proactively, manage multiple priorities, and maintain efficiency in a demanding work environment.
The position also emphasizes safety and responsibility. The intern will be expected to promote and follow strict safety and security standards while performing tasks. This includes supporting initiatives that ensure workplace safety and compliance with company policies.
In addition, the intern will analyze information, assist in problem-solving activities, and contribute ideas that may help improve production processes. Strong customer orientation and adaptability are also important, as the role may involve working with different teams and responding effectively to operational changes.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a National Diploma or BTech in one of the following fields:
Chemical Engineering
Industrial Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Candidates should be recent graduates with limited or no formal work experience.
Applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD will be beneficial for this role. Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles will also be advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
Successful candidates should have knowledge related to compatibility of materials and an understanding of the risks associated with industrial gases, including inert gases, flammable gases, and toxic gases. Candidates should also demonstrate analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn in a technical environment.
