Renergen is seeking four (4) ambitious and driven Production Interns to join our team at the Virginia Gas Project for a transformative two-year Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

About the Opportunity

This internship offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the energy sector while rotating through various production roles. You’ll be immersed in real-world operations at our cutting-edge gas facility, where you’ll develop technical skills, industry knowledge, and professional competencies that will set the foundation for a successful career in production and operations.

What You’ll Gain

As a Production Intern, you’ll progress through carefully structured rotations across different departments, gaining exposure to multiple facets of our operations. This comprehensive approach ensures you develop a holistic understanding of production processes while building practical skills that are highly valued in the industry. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals who are committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of energy sector leaders.

Minimum Requirements

Academic Qualifications:

• N6 or S4 in Chemical Engineering (Work Integrated Learning/In-service training requirement)

Essential Requirements:

• No prior plant experience required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training
• Valid Driver’s License: Code 08 or higher (mandatory for site mobility)
• Must be a Free State resident, with preference given to candidates from Virginia and Welkom areas
• Candidates will be based at the Virginia Gas Plant with an expected start date in February 2026
