About the Role

Are you a recent engineering graduate eager to transform your academic knowledge into practical industry experience? This trainee position is specifically designed to provide you with hands-on exposure to real-world engineering projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic, supportive environment.

As a Project Engineer Trainee, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our asset integrity operations. You’ll be involved in engineering documentation, drawing preparation, data management, and project coordination activities. This isn’t just an observational role—you’ll be an active contributor to project teams, gaining structured exposure to engineering workflows, quality systems, and operational best practices that will form the foundation of your professional career.

Working closely with experienced engineers and project teams, you’ll support the planning, tracking, and delivery of asset integrity projects. You’ll develop practical engineering skills through hands-on involvement in project execution, technical documentation, and the management of engineering information in line with organizational standards and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day activities will include assisting with technical documentation, preparing engineering drawings using industry-standard software, managing project data and information systems, and coordinating project activities under the guidance of senior engineers. You’ll also participate in project meetings, contribute to quality assurance processes, and support the development and maintenance of engineering documentation libraries.

Requirements

We’re seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.

Successful completion of the National Service Programme is essential, with practical exposure to AutoCAD drafting, technical documentation, engineering support tasks, or related engineering/industrial environments being highly advantageous.

Additional professional or technical training in AutoCAD, piping design, pressure vessels, structural drafting, Workpack preparation, or WSE documentation will be considered a significant advantage and will strengthen your application.
